Whether it's part of spirit week at school or camp or Dr. Seuss week, Wacky Hair Day is a highly anticipated annual celebration for kids. But while the kids may be excitedly counting down the days until they get to let their imaginations run wild on theirheads, for many parents, it's a morning filled with stress. Not only do we need to make sure the usual madness of getting dressed, making breakfast, brushing teeth, and tracking down lost homework gets done, we also need to come up with a fantastic wacky hairstyle that will leave kids feeling confident and excited to hit the classroom. And for kiddos with short hair, the challenge to come up with a great wacky hairstyle is even harder.
Coming up with a cool wacky hairstyle for long hair is easy -- when there's lots of hair to work with, the possibilitiesare almost endless. But that doesn't mean kids with short hair can't get their fair share of cheers and fist bumps on wacky hair day too. Having hair long enough to braid, put into a bun, or thread through a soda bottle isn't the only way to creating a winning wacky hair day 'do.
Grabbing a can of colored hair spray can always help add to the wow factor of any wacky hair day style. But the best part about many of these wacky hair day ideas for kids with short hair is that they can easily be put together using craft supplies, holiday decorations, and toys that are most likely already in the house (which is perfect for families whose kids like to wait until the night before to mention that wacky hair day is tomorrow!) Get inspired by these 20 wacky hair day ideas for short hair to make this year's spirit day the best ever.
