Creamy Mint Chicken Curry

This is a mint flavoured creamy chicken dish, goes great with roti or naan. The mint flavour is dominant in this which makes this dish so tasty. I used boneless chicken in this, you can use bone in chicken too.

Ingredients for Creamy Mint Chicken Curry

  • Butter - 2 tblspn
  • Shahi Jeera - 1 tsp
  • Chicken - 500 grams
  • Cream - 1 cup ( I used amul cream)
  • Water as needed
  • Lemon Juice to taste

For Masala:

  • Oil - 1 tblspn
  • Cinnamon Stick / Pattai - 3 cm piece
  • Fennel Seeds / Sombu / Saunf - 2 tsp
  • Ginger - 4 cm piece
  • Garlic - 4 cloves
  • Onion - 1 large chopped
  • Green Chillies - 4 to 5 chopped
  • Mint Leaves - 2 cups

How to Make Creamy Mint Chicken Curry

  1. Heat little oil in a pan, add in cinnamon and fennel seeds. Let them sizzle.
  2. Add in ginger, garlic and saute for a min.
  3. Now add in onions, chillies and saute till golden.
  4. Add in mint leaves and cook till it is wilted. Cool it down.
  5. Take it in a blender and puree till smooth.
  6. Now in the same pan, heat some butter, add in shahi jeera and sizzle it.
  7. Add in the pureed masala and salt. Cook till butter separates.
  8. Now add in chicken and toss well.
  9. Cover and simmer this till the chicken is cooked. Add water as needed.
  10. Now add in cream and lemon juice and mix well.
  11. Serve with naan.

Ingredients

  • Butter - 2 tblspn

  • For Masala:
