The Mad Ducktor brought Gladstone to McDuck Tower, and threw him into one of the old holding cells from the Library of Alexandria that F.O.W.L. used.
“Why did you kidnap me?Is it for my luck?”asked Gladstone.That was the only reason that Gladstone could think of.
“Oh,no. I don’t need luck, I have something better.Intellectual. I kidnapped you to make Scrooge McDuck look bad.”answered the Mad Ducktor.
“What did you mean?”
“He’s always going on about he’s all about family, but we both know that’s not true. I kidnap you,the family member that he would care less about,Scrooge’s reputation as an upstanding family man will be ruined.”
Gladstone didn’t say anything. He knew that the Mad Ducktor was right.Scrooge could care less about him.If Emilie told Scrooge that he was kidnapped,he would probably be happy.
‘Hopefully Emilie will tell the police what happened, and not Scrooge.’ thought Gladstone as he sat in a corner.

Emilie banged on the gates of McDuck Manor.She knew that there was little chance of Scrooge caring about Gladstone’s kidnapping,but she had to try.
“Scrooge!Open up!Gladstone’s been kidnapped by an ugly pink chicken in a giant robot!”screamed Emilie,now shaking the gates,causing the gates to open.
“Oh.Okay.That works.”said Emilie, proceeding to run up the hill to McDuck Manor.
It was difficult,not only because McDuck Manor was miles up the hill, but for various reasons as well.Emilie was in heels, and ran all the way to McDuck Manor,so naturally her legs were tired, and her feet hurt.But she finally managed to get to get to the front door of McDuck Manor.
“Scrooge!-Gladstone’s-been-kidnapped.”said Emilie,trying to catch her breath as she knocked on the door.
“Did you run all the way here?”asked Mrs.Beakley when she answered the door, and saw Emilie standing there, and out of breath.
“Yes.”said Emilie.
“Okay.Let me take you to Mr.McDuck.”said Mrs.Beakley,picking Emilie up, and taking her to Scrooge’s office.

“So,tell me what happened to Gladstone.”said Scrooge,hoping it wasn’t something too serious.Despite how he treated Gladstone, he did care about him.
“Gladstone was kidnapped by an ugly pink chicken in a giant robot!”said Emilie, who had finally caught her breath.Although her legs were still tired,and her feet still hurt.
“Uh-would you care to explain,lass?”asked Scrooge,completely confused.
“Okay.Gladstone,and I were having a picnic in the park,doing picnic things, and afterwards we were just relaxing,enjoying each other’s company,when this pink ugly chicken came in a giant robot, and kidnapped him.”
“Uh-huh.”said Scrooge,still clearly confused.
“Did this pink ugly chicken say why he kidnapped Gladstone?”asked Mrs.Beakley.More information about what happened would probably help them out.
“No.”said Emilie.
“What did he look like?”
“Spiky lavender hair,pink jacket,lavender gloves.Tan pants that kinda look like parachute pants.”
Scrooge’s eyes grew wide.That description only matched one person.
“The Mad Ducktor!”yelled Scrooge in shock, and horror.
“Who?”asked Emilie.
“The Mad Ducktor!He’s been stealing my money!He must have kidnapped Gladstone to use his luck to succeed in his plans to destroy my business!”said Scrooge.
“Don’t you tell Gladstone anything?”
“I’ll start telling Gladstone things as soon as the Duck Avenger saves him.”
“Who?”
“The superhero that Donald asked to track down the Mad Ducktor on my behalf.”explained Scrooge.
“Why don’t you tell Gladstone anything?!”
Scrooge didn’t say anything.He just went to his office window, and called out to Donald.
“What?”asked Donald,getting out of his boathouse. He wasn’t in the mood to be annoyed by Scrooge at the moment.
“Call the Duck Avenger!The Mad Ducktor struck again!”
“What did he do this time?”
“He kidnapped Gladstone!”
Donald bursted into laughter.Like he was going to become the Duck Avenger for Gladstone.
“Yeah,no. I think he has better things to do than help someone like Gladstone.”laughed Donald,heading back to his boathouse.
Emilie grabbed Scrooge’s chair, and threw it at Donald.Much to her shock,it was a direct hit,causing Donald to fall, and the chair to break.Donald got up, and looked up at the window.Emilie was looking at him in a threatening way.Clearly, he made a mistake.
“Okay!I’ll get the Duck Avenger!”said Donald. “Crazy ass bitch.”he added under his breath.

“I am here!”said Donald when he arrived in Scrooge’s office in his Duck Avenger costume.
“Did Donald tell you what happened?”asked Scrooge.
“Yes.He said his cousin Gladstone was kidnapped by the Duck Avenger.”
“And Emilie witnessed it.”added Mrs.Beakley.
“Oh.Well,what happened?”said Donald.He couldn’t help but wonder if Emilie’s actions were motivated by seeing Gladstone being kidnapped.
“Gladstone,and I were having a picnic in the park,doing picnic things, and afterwards we were just relaxing,enjoying each other’s company,when the Mad Ducktor came in a giant robot, and kidnapped him.”repeated Emilie.
“I see.Anything else?Did he say anything else?”
Emilie thought before speaking again.It was as if she was trying to think if anything the Mad Ducktor said was useful.
“He said he came to kidnap Gladstone.”said Emilie.
“Did anyone else see anything?”asked Donald.
“No.We were the only ones at the park.”
“Hmm.”
Donald thought that was weird.Why wouldn’t there be anyone else at the park?The park was usually filled with people. The Mad Ducktor said that he came to kidnap Gladstone.
“Was it a trap?”Donald asked Emilie.It was the only thing he could think of.
“Yes.”Emilie admitted regretfully. “He admitted that he was the one behind the free day in the park contest. I told Gladstone it might be a trap, but the Mad Ducktor convinced him it wasn’t.”
“Why didn’t you tell anyone?!”asked Donald.
“The family doesn’t tell Gladstone anything, so why should I tell them anything?”snapped Emilie.
Nobody said anything.They knew she had a point.Scrooge,nor did anyone else for that matter,tell Gladstone anything.So,why should they be told anything?
“Don’t worry.I’ll find Gladstone.”said Donald.
“And make sure you ask the Mad Ducktor why he’s stealing my money!”said Scrooge before Donald left.
“Alright.”said Donald before leaving with a smile.
But before he could even try to find the Mad Ducktor, he needed gadgets like the Mad Ducktor.Thankfully he knew someone as smart as the Mad Ducktor to make those gadgets.
