These Scrumptious Keto Pecan Pie Brownies are the best of both worlds! Fantastic Fudgey Brownies topped with Pecan Pie Filling! Gluten Free, Low Carb, Sugar Free!
'Tis the season for all things pumpkin, but instead of sharing another pumpkin recipe, I decided it was time to emphasis another fabulous player in the season of fall and that is, Pecans!
Pecan pie is one of my favorite Thanksgiving pies so I thought adding that filling on top of another one of my favorite treats, my fudgey brownies would be a match made in heaven, and I was right! I hope you think so as well!
It takes a little more work than just making brownies, but I will say it is every bit worth it. While the brownies are baking you make the easy pecan pie filling in a bowl and once the brownies are finished in the oven, top with the pecan topping and bake a little longer. Just something special about a nutty brownie that I love!
Even if you're not much of a pecan fan, you could easily swap out the pecans with walnuts or another nut of your choice. But I couldn't let this fall season go by without showcasing my love for pecans and brownies.

Would chocolate collagen powder be the same?

The protein powder I used is whey based so collagen could replace it but since I haven't tested it, I am not sure on the texture using collagen. If you make them and they crumble apart, it may be the collagen didn't work like the whey protein powder I used.

My son and I made these last night. i got my protein powder bag mixed up with the coconut flour because I was using plain protein powder so they were a little dry and needed a little more sweetener but ev3n with that they were very good!
I will make correctly again LOL.Reply

MIne were dry and crumbly- what did I do wrong?

Oh I'm sorry sounds like they were over baked if crumbly and dry. Did you try placing them in the fridge overnight? That can sometimes help soften and set the brownies and bring the moisture back.

Thanks for mentioning nutrition, my recipe plug in needed to be updated and now you can see the nutrition info listed below the recipe. It's 6 total carbs with 2 fiber per brownie so 4 net carbs.

Hi and thanks for the recipe...these look scrumptious and I can't wait to try them! What does the protein powder do for the recipe? I'm wondering if I could leave it out or sub with something else I might have on hand. You can't buy a little bit of protein powder and I don't use it enough to invest in a giant tub of it. Thanks!

You could swap it with ground flax though I've not tested it, just my guess. It really provides a little help in texture and lift. I use it in my Cloud bread recipe for the same thing, a bit more substance and texture.
