Slow Cooker Creamy Chicken and Noodles Recipe

I used to make a chicken and egg noodle recipe that my mom taught me when I was really young - it was a staple in my house, and my ex husband really loved it!

I would load it up with mushrooms, of course Angeline hated it.

Ha ha! What is it about kids and mushrooms? They really hate them as a general rule, don't they?

Well, this recipe reminds me of that old recipe I used to stand over the stove taking an hour to cook.

I would sit down to dinner all sweaty and smelling like chicken and pasta water.

That's the great thing about slow cooker recipes, there's no slaving away over a hot stove, no mixing, stirring, etc. Just throw it all in and go about your business!

What's So Great about this Instant Pot Chicken Noodles Dinner Idea?

This Instant Pot Chicken Noodles Dinner Recipe is a bit thick and hearty, which I absolutely love!

If you don't like your casserole style meals this thick, you can certainly thin it with an additional 1 cup of chicken broth or 1 cup of milk or half and half.

Also just a side note,I didn't have a white onion so I used a red one in its place!

And it was frozen, and it worked just fine in this slow cooker recipe. You can swap my red onion for a yellow or white, each will lend a similar result and it's all about personal preference!
